Ann Therese Connolly, CDP

Sister Ann Therese Connolly entered religious life in 1960 from her home parish of St. Joseph in Quincy, MA. Of her decision to become a religious, she says, “It was Divine Providence that brought and accepted me into the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence. I found the Sisters to be prayerful, hard-working and abounding in humor.”

Sister Ann Therese's ministry always focused on education. She served as an elementary school teacher for seven years and then as principal of elementary schools, including St. John's in Attleboro, MA and Sacred Heart Elementary in Kingston, MA (1991-2011). Sister Ann Therese was an advocate for the children, always placing a central focus on the students’ needs and growth. She worked hard to encourage academic excellence, deepen faith development, build strong Catholic communities and raise the awareness of students toward social justice and the needs of others, both locally and globally.
